We Think: Fruity Loops began its life many years ago as an internet-based music application, but it is now a fully-featured MIDI sequencer and virtual studio, designed for use in the studio, at home and in schools, and is an excellent means of creating wave tracks, loops and realistic drum tracks/loops, to mention but a few functions. FL Studio is a pattern-based sequencer, which means that you create your songs in pieces, using the Step Sequencer and the Piano Roll view. These pieces can be joined together using the Playlist window, and then effects such as automation, dynamic sweeps plus many others can be added. This new version features a new 64-track MIDI mixer (each with 8 FX channels) and a vastly improved playlist window (with a new Piano Roll feature). A new Randomizer is available in the Step Sequencer, as well as in the Piano Roll view. To make things even easier, it is now all DXi compatible. FL Studio is a fun program that continues to help you create great-sounding music. Use it on its own or as a fantastic complementary product with any Cakewalk or Cubase product.
