This specification will help software developers by defining the minimum requirements for applications to operate within a SQL Server 2000 environment. This test is divided into two categories: Requirements and Scored Features. In order to pass this test, the application must pass all the requirements and accumulate at least 38 points in scored features. Scored features, depending on their importance, can contribute between 10 and 2.5 points each. Passing this test will gain the ISV 50 Partner Points toward membership in the Microsoft partner program, plus an additional 10 Partner Points for passing the Windows Server component of the Microsoft Platform Test for ISV Solutions.
