Getting Started When you first open Microsoft Access, it will giveyou the opportunity to create a new database. If youare starting a new database, click Blank Database . If you were previously working on an Access database,find the file in the Open section of the window. If you want to import a file from Microsoft Excel, select Blank Database , and refer to the section entitled Importing Tables from Excel . If you create a new Blank Database , Access will ask you to name the file. Select a folder to put the file in, and give that filea name then click the Create button. Access will now present you with a new window fromwhich you can create a table. You will need a table tostore your data. Double-click on one of the choices forhow to create a new table. It is recommended thatbeginning Access users select Create table by using wizard .
