Click on Start, go up to Programs, then find Microsoft Word. If you don’t see it in the Programs menu, look for a folder named Microsoft Office Programs or Microsoft Small Business or something similar. Below is a picture of the opening screen, which is a new blank document. At the top of the window is the Title Bar – it shows the program you are using (Word) and the name of the document. Because this document has not yet been saved, it is given a document number. Below the Title Bar is the Menu Bar which allows you to open menus and select options from the drop down menu items. Below the Menu bar is the Toolbar, a collection of icons which are shortcuts to the most commonly used options. You can choose which Toolbars to display
