Krystal Crash Tests the Chrysler 300 Limousine Brea, California. In a continuing effort to ensure all its vehicles meet or exceed auto industry safety standards, Krystal Enterprises has successfully completed a series of crash tests on its Chrysler 300 limousine. The tests were performed at Karco Engineering, an independent automotive testing facility in the high desert north of Los Angeles. These tests are believed to be the first of their kind for a converted Chrysler anywhere in the industry and indeed may represent the first independent crash tests of a unibody (rather than body-on-frame) limousine conversion. Krystal, the world’s largest manufacturer of stretch limousines and a top producer of professional cars and mid-size buses, has a long history of firsts in limousine safety. These include being the first limousine converter to crash test the Lincoln Town Car at super-stretch lengths (over 100 inches), first to qualify long stretches to the stringent standards of Ford’s Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) program, and first to demonstrably apply government passenger car standards for roof and side impact strength to the center of a limousine’s stretch section.
